Sustainable Fashion in Christchurch Central

There’s a new shop in Christchurch for sustainable fashion featuring local designers! Come browse and try on the wearable textile art produced by slow fashion adherents located here in Ōtautahi. WALKlightly has launched a central city studio for soft textile artists and designers to exhibit, sell, collaborate and make fabric requests thus promoting hands on techniques and a reduction of textile-waste!

I’m thrilled to be a part of this fantastic initiative. Come into the WALKlightly shop to see new Aletheia designs and to try on your favourite garments. Some designs are one-off, unique garments, all are sustainable. Some of the waste reduction techniques used to make the new Aletheia garments include Zero Waste Design and Rescued Textiles made from industry offcuts.
