Aletheia sizing is thoughtfully created to reflect a beautiful proportion, particularly catered for the pear-shaped woman. If further customisation is needed, garments can be made to your measurements–it’s what Aletheia Apparel is all about!

Measuring for your best fit:

  • While measuring, the tape should be parallel to the floor all the way around.
  • Pull the tape firm but without cinching in at the body.

Upper Bust: Measure around your body above the bust and under the arms. Measure without a bra, over skin. This is the best measurement for dresses and tops.

Bust: Measure around the fullest part of your bust. Measure with the type of bra you intend to wear under the garment.

Natural Waist: This is the narrowest part of your torso. Note – this will not necessarily be where the waistline of your garment will sit.

Lower Waist: Measure around the fullest part of your tummy.

Hip/Seat: Place tape at the fullest part of your hips with feet together. This is the best measurement for skirts and pants.

Simply download,  fill out the measurement chart below, email it customise@aletheia.nz and once Aletheia Apparel receives your measurements your garment(s) can be made to your measurements just for you!

Aletheia Custom Measurement Chart

  • Chart can be downloaded and used to take your own measurements. Tips for taking personal measurements can be found here
  • Many dressmakers or local clothing alteration shops can offer measurement services to help you fill out the form
  • Free measurement service for Aletheia purchases in Rolleston
  • Measurements can be stored for future garments and modifications
  • Measurements will be stored for 3 years, unless requested to have them deleted or if they are updated in future orders
  • All garments will be completed within the agreed upon time once measurements are received
