Aletheia Apparel - Size Chart

Measuring for your best fit:

  • While measuring, the tape should be parallel to the floor all the way around.
  • Pull the tape firm but without cinching in at the body.

Upper Bust: Measure around your body above the bust and under the arms. Measure without a bra, over skin.

Bust: Measure around the fullest part of your bust. Measure with the type of bra you intend to wear under the garment.

Natural Waist: This is the narrowest part of your torso. Note – this will not necessarily be where the waistline of your garment will sit.

Hip/Seat: Place tape at the fullest part of your hips with feet together.

Fitting tips:

  • For dresses, tops, and accessories: choose the size that goes with your upper bust
  • For pants & skirts: choose the size that goes with your hips

If your bust, waist, or hips are 2 or more sizes different than your suggested size, or if you typically struggle to find ready-made garments that fit well, then having your garment customised is highly suggested–it’s what Aletheia Apparel is all about!

Accomodating sizes outside our size range is also part of our customisation process.

Aletheia Custom Measurement Chart

  • Chart can be downloaded and used to take your own measurements. Tips for taking personal measurements can be found here
  • Many dressmakers or local clothing alteration shops can offer measurement services to help you fill out the form
  • Free measurement service for Aletheia purchases in Rolleston
  • Measurements can be stored for future garments and modifications
  • Measurements will be stored for 5 years, unless requested to have them deleted or if they are updated in future orders
  • All garments will be completed within the specified time once measurements are received
